eHow food expert, Darlene Tenes of CasaQ and guest chefs will show you how to create a traditional Mexican tamales during this hands-on workshop. We will share the history behind these ancient foods and teach you how to make these traditional wrapped wonders from scratch. You will learn to prepare the masa and the fillings, then guests will create a family-style assembly line to learn how to properly wrap and fold, then steam the tamales to perfection.
You’ll receive a tamale lunch along with a tasting of traditional holiday drinks such as Mexican Hot Chocolate, Ponché (Hot Spiced Punch) and Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus Flower Tea).
